Estiah

Taking a moment to advocate for all the text-based games out there. And they are out there. And people do play them. But they are essentially the red-headed stepchild of gaming. They simply don't get enough love. And its not like they don't have any meat to them.

Estiah is a good example of this, and a good primer if you want to enter into this quirky gaming culture that involves reading. Yes, reading. A long time ago, one of the first games I ever played on PC was a text-based game called Humbug. If this is what you remember text games as being, or if this is all virgin territory for you, check Estiah out. It actually has some depth and playability to it, with a large selection of skills and classes. It also, as do many other current-gen text-based games, has some incarnation of PvP to offer.

Sadly, Estiah doesn't receive updates very often anymore, but its still definitely worth a look. Go on. What do you have to lose?
