This is an interesting browser-based, text-based, MMO I found while trolling the internets for new games to play. The basic premise of Mine Things is simple: you have a mine, you have a robot, the robot works in your mine.. mining stuff. All sorts of stuff. Then you take this stuff, collect it, combine it, sell it, etc. That's pretty much it. Potentially fun, but not especially stimulating. I've only just started, and I can see there is a lot more customization available down the road, so I'm not too concerned about that.
The thing I like about Mine Things however is that your robot is mining even when you aren't logged on. It has a battery, but so long as the battery has juice, that robot is busy mining away. So its non-committal. You just have to check in once a day, see what your robots been up to, do a little of this and that, then done. Helpful when you have a busy schedule.

This is definitely a slow-paced game. You really only have to log on for a couple of minutes every 20 hours. That's how long the batteries on your robot last, and logging in is how you recharge. Still, if your an RPG fan and are fond of/used to having to collect things, then this is still pretty fun.
