Born to Fire

I'm not much of a FPS gamer, but in honor of the release of Black Ops 2 (its sad how excited people are) I've decided to shine a spotlight on some nifty looking F2P shooters. Born to Fire comes to us via Aeria Games. This one appeals to me because it seems to be more in the mold of something like a Team Fortress 2 than a Black Ops. You get to choose from five character classes, each with its own unique set of specialized skills. My personal favorite is the Dual Gunner aka The Machine Gun Artist, a party healer with, you guessed it, dual-wielded machine guns.

The gameplay itself looks pretty standard, although the boxing mode one is a standout. Your objective is simply: punch the other guy to death. Your weaponry is also pretty par for the course, with each class having its own arsenal of guns, grenades, and close-range weapons. The graphics are decent, but won't hold a candle to more high-end console games. All in all Born to Fire looks solid, and is of course F2P. Nothing too fancy, but enough to make me consider dive into the genre again.
