Entanglement

After a long hiatus, I am back today to talk about an indie marvel by the name of Entanglement. Made by Gopherwood Studios, a true indie company comprised of all of two, albeit creative and I'm sure hard-working, founder/creators.
Indie or no, this game is incredibly polished, and has an addictive quality akin to heroine (or so I've heard). The premise is fairly simple- you start in the center of a hexagonal game board, and flip over tiles to reveal a tangle of string-like lines. You rotate the tiles to line them up, and you keep on going until you run into a wall along the edge of the game board, or in the center. You get the sense that you have just enough control of the ultimate outcome to keep you starting over- again, and again, and again. There is also a multiplayer mode- though I'm not entirely sure how it works.
Expansions are available for purchase and unlock multiple different maps, as well as more great ambient music to play in the background. It gives the game a nice zen garden-type of feel. High scores are, interestingly, posted to G+, with daily, and all-time high scores. Overall, you get a great experience, as well as something more intellectually stimulating than popping bubbles or some such. Definitely worth checking out.
